Pain Management
Whole Person Care
Our program utilizes an integrative approach which combines traditional treatments with mind-body whole person care. It is our goal to assist with the development of a full normal life despite chronic pain levels.
Functional recovery is often delayed because the cumulative effect of work and other issues has overwhelmed the patient’s ability to cope.
There is strong evidence-based support for treatment strategies which address the physical, psychological and social aspects of individuals suffering from chronic pain. We provide training in various types of relaxation approaches, which can help reduce arousal and tension levels, decrease muscle tension, reduce distress, decrease pain, depression and disability.
Relaxation and pain-management imagery is taught to promote relaxation and reduction of pain intensity or quality. Our approach includes the teaching of life and coping skills which can assist with productive problem solving and the prevention and minimization of pain episodes in the future.
